(I'M TYPING IN ALL CAPS DUE TO MY VISION--I AM NOT SHOUTING, ALTHOUGH I FEEL LIKE SHOUTING I'M SO ANGRY ABOUT BEING SCAMMED BY THIS COMPANY...) I PURCHASED COSTWAY Portable Air Conditioner, 9000 BTU Air Conditioner with Fan & Dehumidifier, Item model numberFP10740US-WH ON AMAZON FOR A TOTAL OF $255.89 ON JUNE 22, 2024. I SET UP THE UNIT AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS.

I USED ADHESIVE FOAM SEAL STRIPS AROUND THE PANEL THAT GOES INTO THE WINDOW FRAME TO ENSURE THE HOT AIR FROM OUTSIDE WON'T GET IN. AFTER THE UNIT WAS ON FOR TWO HOURS IN MY LIVING ROOM, THE TEMPERATURE INSIDE WAS 95 DEGREES. I HAVE SEVERAL FANS THAT HAVE THERMOSTATS AND THEY ALL READ THE SAME--AND IT FELT LIKE IT WAS 95 DEGREES TOO. IT WAS 10 DEGREES HIGHER INSIDE MY LIVING ROOM THAN THE TEMPERATURE OUTSIDE--WITH THIS A/C ON HIGH 72 DEGREES AND COOL--NOT ON FAN.

THE HEAT WAS COMING FROM THE DUCT THAT GOES INTO THE WINDOW PANEL. THAT DUCT GETS VERY, VERY HOT. I THEN ORDERED FROM AMAZON TWO "Air Conditioner Hose Cover Wraps - AC Hose Duct Vent Cover Sleeves Insulated Covers for Portable AC" FOR $47.99 AND EXTRA STRAPS "ENVISIONED Reusable Cinch Straps 2" x 30" - 6 Pack, Multipurpose Quality Hook and Loop Securing Straps" FOR $31.62 TO COVER ALL THE GAPS. I COVERED THE DUCT WITH THE INSULATED COVERS--TWO LAYERS--AFTER ONE LAYER THERE WAS STILL TOO MUCH HEAT COMING FROM THE DUCT.

EVEN WITH TWO LAYERS OF INSULATED COVERS AND SECURING IT WITH THE VELCRO CLOSURES ON THE COVERS AND THE EXTRA STRAPS, THERE WAS STILL TOO MUCH HEAT COMING FROM THE DUCT AND NOT ENOUGH COLD AIR FROM THE UNIT, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ON HIGH AND 72 DEGREES. I AM A DISABLED SENIOR WHO LIVES ALONE AND HAD TO CUT OPEN THE BOX IN ORDER TO GET THE UNIT OUT. THERE'S NO WAY I CAN SHIP THIS BACK AS I DO NOT HAVE THE BOX AND I AM HOMEBOUND. I LIVE OFF OF A SMALL AMOUNT OF SOCIAL SECURITY AND THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY TO THROW AWAY. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM "COSTWAY" OR "GOPLUSCORP"!

I just got to Text someone to get the number to this company that I am buying a lot of stuff from and I can’t seem to get through to get a number. I didn’t know you were asking me for personal information just to give me a number.

I’ll give me contact with these people. I am not gonna give you my credit card number and my personal number just to get a number to where I can call these people what is going on if I cannot get a number within the next five minutes I want to cancel all my order.

And now that you have sent me for my credit card information and I don’t put it in. I cannot even text you back because it keeps going back to my credit card information which I am not going to.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I got a full refund after many call and follow up conversations I just cannot believe how unorganized this was on costways end.

After them messing up my order twice before delivery they take weeks to send me a return label requested on July 5th and here it is the 12th of July and still no label. They told me my order is correct when I clearly ordered one black and one white air conditioner.

They proceeded to tell me that the order is correct. It only comes with a blacktop so if thats the case, there are two black tops and the rest of the body of the air conditioner is white so that's still the wrong order. Duh. I have no more patience for these people at costway never again.

They are incompetent to no end. This is utterly ridiculous !!!

Return a swing set

The lady I spoke with was amazing and very helpful. We were going to return the swing set we bought, but after finding out how much it would cost to return, we decided to keep it and accept the small discount.

But now, having opened the box, we realize it is missing parts. So, we now need to see if we can acquire the parts to assemble it.

Dehumidifier stopped working after 1 month

Terrible company. They were not very helpful with a dehumidifier I had bought, which stopped working after one month of purchase.

They asked me for a video to prove it was not working. It was very difficult to upload and attach to a regular email. They would not accept a video through WhatsApp. I had to ask my niece to help upload it.

Finally, after they received the video, they asked me to open the back unit to check what was actually at fault. Crazy! What were they thinking? They should have taken care of it by sending a repairman, or credited me.

There was too much back and forth hassle. I will not be buying from this company ever again.

Someone purchased bedside crib for my shower. It has been recalled.

They keep asking the same questions I think I answer them and they send back response that it isnt good enough. I have the bedside crib in my possession I sent pictures.

My package I ordered from Costway never made it from the warehouse to the shipping company (Amazon Shipping) according to the tracking number. I had to make 6 calls over the course of 2 weeks.

Then, Costway made me work with a 3rd company to create a claim even though the package clearly never made it to the shipping company, which is not my fault. Despite my explicit request to send a new item, they instead refunded my credit card and now the sale I had gotten no longer exists if I wanted to re-order. I had to jump through so many hoops for an item that never made it out of their warehouse. Every other online transaction I've ever made, I can tell the company that the package didn't arrive, they check the tracking number and verify it didn't arrive and they send out a new one.

Then I asked for compensation for all the time I had spent trying to get a new item sent out and they told me all they could do was send me a $5 coupon, which was the same amount as the coupon on the front page of their website.

Thanks for literally nothing. I received nothing.

Chairs do not line up part a to part b. Cannot assemble!

I bought 2 sets of patio chairs. Three of the chairs cannot be put together because the very first step join a to b the holes don't line up at all. I have not heard back from them since the 19th.

I bought an aircooler. I only used one time on the first year.

The second year I didn't use since the weather was good. This year, I took out to use again, it doesn't work. There is no air and wind coming out at all. I can not fix it.

So, I called customer service and talked to them.

They said they would get back to me in 1-2 business day, but so far, one week passed, still nobody contacts me. So, I think their service is very bad and the product quality is low too.
